This was the first picture taken when I got my Mamiya RB67. I was using Ilford Delta 100 speed black and white 120mm film. I can't tell you how excited I was to get this camera in the mail. Also this camera has a bit of a story behind it due to the shadiness of buying old used things on eBay. I originally purchased the same camera from another seller that said it was in perfect working order and once I opened the box I knew right away that the camera was a dud. My heart sank. I had so many projects planned and had booked a few jobs based on what this camera was capable of producing. I sent the dud back and immediately got another from a different seller. After jumping through flaming hoops I got the working camera I wanted and it hasn't left my side since the day it arrived. I feel as though it opened a whole new world for me. Letting me finally express what I was feeling through the lens. The look and feel of the photographs this thing produces is how I see life. Don't get me wrong I could probably produce the same look digitally but I always felt like something was missing in my older photos. Okay enough of the romantic love story between a boy and his camera...HA
I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve! I have 3 rolls of Kodak Tri-X to develop so I will be posting some of those shots in the next couple of days so keep a look out!
Have a happy New Years Day!!!
