I picked up a new desk a couple of weeks ago which made me realize that it was long overdue for an office tour video.
In the process of setting the new desk up I thought it was time for me to let go of some of the clutter I've been holding onto for far too long. It was such a freeing experience for sure.
Above is episode #42 Creative Spaces from my WBIF podcast
For the past couple of weeks I have been trying out a new video series on my YouTube Channel! I take one day out of the week to film behind the scenes of what it's like being a Film Photographer. I still plan on doing gear and film stock reviews but I thought this would be a fun little behind the scenes of my daily process.
I'm going to post some of the photos from this video down below so you can have a better look.
Hope you enjoyed the video and I'll see you in the new year!!!
A quick video to see what the HYPE is about!
Using my Polaroid Spectra PRO camera I loaded the the new Polaroid Originals spectra color film. I had such a good time cruising around town looking for subjects to shoot. All in all I think they are getting closer and closer to the original Polaroid formula of the golden era of Photography.
below are the frames I exposed for you to have a closer look!
Hope you guys enjoyed the video and if you have any questions about the new Polaroid Originals shoot me an email! I’m about to load up the SX-70 film and give that a go!
See you guys soon!
New video up!
This one as you can tell by the title is about printing your photographs! A process I started taking a little more seriously as of late. There is just something about holding a printed image in my hands that I created that's just so fulfilling. It's always a very proud moment! Ha like one of my children had graduated and is moving on to the next faze of life. Well...that might be a little extreme. Nonetheless it is still a great feeling!
Check out the video and let me know what you think!
Just incase you were wondering I used the following products in this video:
- Canon Pixma MG2120 Printer
- Kodak Gloss 4x6 Paper
- HOM ( Home Essence ) Photo Albums
You can pick up one of these printers super cheap on eBay for around 25 to 30 dollars. As for the photo paper you can grab that at Walmart for around 8 dollars and the photo albums go for around 14.99. The photo paper and albums I normally see on sale for buy one get one at least once every couple of months!
Have a great week guys! Leave me some comments and let me know about how and why you print your photographs!
Always a good time putting these videos together!
I just wanted to post the photographs on here incase you'd like to take a closer look!
Alright guys...Thanks for stopping by and I will see you next time!
I'm a few days late for my 2016 retrospect video since it is already January 5th! How time flies.
Below are the photographs plus some that didn't make the cut from the video!
Hope you enjoyed the video and photographs! I have a ton of ideas for what's the come for the future of my YouTube channel and this here website (BLOG)!
In the next couple of days I am going to be setting up a store page for the sale of prints, cameras and any other goods related to my photography in hopes to start saving up for the release of my photo book "Undertow" set to be released March 1st. I will make a proper announcement when the store will be open in one of next weeks videos...so keep a look out for that!
Hope you have a great holiday and I will see you on Sunday!
Above is my latest Vlog episode.
I just wanted to take a minute to make a Blog post since I won't be uploading a video today. Plus I've handed out so many business cards in the past couple of weeks and the latest Vlog posted on here was filmed almost two months ago which goes to show how much my filming style has improved!
I also decided to turn these Daily Vlog videos into a 365 time lapse project. The project came to me during the editing of my 100th episode when piecing together almost 2 months of time lapses that I shot during the duration of filming my daily videos. I was so happy with how that episodes time lapse came out that it sparked the idea of keeping this alive for an entire year. I also created an Instagram (@project.timelapse365) Where starting Monday July 11th I will be posting my Daily Vlog opening time lapses!
I wanted to thank everyone for the support these past few months and putting up with me shoving a camera in their face haha!
Alright guys have a great rest of your weekend and I will back with the uploads tomorrow!!!
Below is my 100th episode
I was in the city last Wednesday with the family when they were in town for a visit. Here are a few of my favorites.
Hope you all are having a great week so far!!!
Until next time...
I started filming a movie everyday and I don't plan on stopping!!!
I intend on bringing you behind the scenes of the making of my next photo book/zine NIGHTCRAWLER. I started shooting the photographs for this project throughout the past 3 years and I finally think this story is ready to be told.
Along with the Daily Vlogs I will also be putting together tutorial/how to videos every Thursday. I just know what it's like to be at the point with your photography to start sharing it with the masses but you have no idea where to begin. I am going to take you through my process starting with choosing the camera/film, developing/print making and then finally finishing with putting together a photo zine/book. Plus this is the perfect way for me to document this moment in time.
I hope you're pumped cause I'm pumped! HA....
Have a great weekend!
One year ago today my photo book homespun was published! How time flies!!
Homespun was the first project shot 100% on film and hand processed by me during the fall/winter months of 2014. All photos were taken in Williamson County primarily in Downtown Franklin.
So in celebration I dropped the price from $20 to $13! All proceeds are going straight into film, chemical and printing costs of my new photo series Nightcrawler.
Thanks for all the support and encouragement!
Click the link below and pick up your copy of homespun while they are on sale!!!
Today is the last day of the Williamson County Fair and sadly I won't be able to make it to say my goodbyes to all my sweet animal friends or eat delicious cheese steak, onion rings or funnel cakes! Luckily I made two trips this past week and for me the County Fair filled my heart full of joy and excitement just like when I was a small child! So if you haven't made it out to the Fair take advantage of this last day and say hello to the goats, cows, chickens and baby llama for me! :)
Go to the Fair today!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
Yesterday I ran a roll of Kodak Portra 160 through my Argofelx twin reflex camera.
This was the third or fourth roll I shot with this camera since picking it up a little over a year ago. I always love the look of the photographs that this thing makes but the view finder is really hard to work with. I've tried taking it apart and cleaning it with little to no improvement. Still I had a blast taking this thing around town!
I think it's safe to say that Kodak Portra 160 is one of my favorite color negative films.
In the next couple of weeks I am going to be working on a video series that features from start to finish my whole process. Which film I'm using with what camera to the development and scanning process along with how I upload to Flickr and Instagram. I already started to filming and I'm pretty stoked on this whole thing!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll see you soon!

all without the slightest effort
While mind is left to it's distractions
the body's left to do the living
Every breath and heartbeat shivers
